Sindh vs Central Punjab
Kamran Akmal and Usman Sallahuddin scored crucial half-centuries as Central Punjab battled their way to 216/7 on a green top surface at the National Stadium in Karachi. Sindh, who played four seamers, made good use of the conditions on offer with Tabish Khan and Sohail Khan reducing Central Punjab to 89 for 4.
It was then that Kamran and Sallahuddin joined forces to stitch a 92-run partnership. Kamran, in particular, fought fire with a fire, scoring his 59 off just 70 balls continuing a fine run of form in this year’s Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. Enroute the knock, he also passed 13000 first class runs. Sallahuddin, on the other hand, scored a patient half-century and remained unbeaten on 50 despite late wickets at the other end.
